Q: How long does it take to get a quote?
A. We will endeavour to provide a quote within 8 hours.
Q: Do I need to have proper plans to get a quotation?
A. No, just a sketch with the sizes of the work tops. Please mark which edges need polishing and mark features such as hob, taps and sink. Also mark the position of drainer grooves and upstands, if required.
Q: Can I visit you at the factory?
A. Yes, we welcome visitors. We are open from 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
It helps to see the materials in large slabs. As it is natural product it does vary from block to block on some of the materials. We would also be happy to send you samples.
Q: What is the best thickness for work tops?
A. The most popular thickness is 30mm for kitchens and 20mm for bathrooms. Sometimes 20+20 is used which then gives an edge of 40mm.
Q: Do you template?
A. Yes, we offer a templating service and also deliver and fit the work tops, if required. We will return and fit the work tops within 5 to 7 working days after templating.
Q: What do I need to do before templating?
A. Before we visit you to template your base units need to be fixed in place and level. The walls need to be plastered. We need any hobs or sinks being fitted left on site.
Tiling usually takes place after the work tops have been fitted.
Q: Do I need to be there when you template and fit?
A. It is a good idea, as we can answer any questions or concerns you may have. Also if you have any additional or specific request we will be there to discuss it with you.
Q: Do you fit my sink and hob?
A. We fit the granite, but the connection to the gas and water needs to be done by a plumber.
Q: I am replacing my work tops only. Do I need to remove my old tops before you template?
A. Not necessarily, but it needs to be discussed with us prior to templating. Usually about 90% of kitchens can be templated with the old tops on. They do, however, need to be removed prior to our fitting the new work tops.
Please phone us if you have any other queries. We are always happy to help.
